Bavette steak, also called flank steak, is a long, flat cut that comes from the front end of the animal. It's bold in flavour and a great value cut.
Bavette can either be slow cooked in a casserole or stew until it’s falling apart, or can be marinated and flash cooked on a high heat as a steak.

Cooking tips
Bring to room temperature by taking out of the fridge 30 minutes prior to cooking.
To cook like a steak, grill over a high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness. Rest before serving.
Storage instructions
Keep refrigerated once delivered and consume by the use-by date. If frozen before expiry, our meats can be frozen and used within three months. Defrost fully before use. Do not re-freeze.
