Recipe: Perfect Roast Potatoes
Figuring out how to make perfect roast potatoes comes down to two things. First, using the right potatoes, like King Edwards, Maris Piper or Desiree. Second, is the method of cooking them; you need to pre-boil them to the point they are nearly cooked, so they’re soft inside, and give them a good shake after draining so that the outside can get nice and crispy.

- King Edwards, Maris Piper or Desiree potatoes
- Farm Shop Wagyu Dripping
Method

STEP 1
Pre-heat the oven to 200c/gas mark 6. Peel the potatoes and chop into half or thirds depending on the size of the potato.

Add the potatoes to a large pot of tepid water and par-boil for 10 minutes.

While the potatoes are boiling spread our Farm Shop Wagyu Dripping onto an oven tray and put into the oven so that the tray and the wagyu dripping heats up.

Drain the potatoes, return them to the pan, put the lid on and give them a good shake so that the edges become rough. This is what makes them perfect!

Carefully remove the tray from the oven and toss the potatoes through the fat before returning to the oven. Add fresh rosemary or thyme for extra flavour.

Cook for 45-60 minutes, until the potatoes are nice and crispy. Enjoy your perfect roast potatoes!
