The Farm

The Farm

A low input farm that uses regenerative farming practices, Manor Farm is a mile away from the creamery where King Stone make their cheese. The farm focuses on soil health using diverse herbal lays.

The herd of British Friesian and Shorthorn cattle are milked twice a day, with the care taken over the land leading to lush grass and therefore exceptionally rich milk.

The Cheese

Cheesemaker David Jowett’s cheese career began at Berkswell, following a path through different cheese companies before setting up King Stone Dairy. His first cheese was Rollright, a washed rind soft cheese, in 2015 and since then he has created four further cheeses.

We Love

Yarlington 

Created with cider maker Tom Oliver and Cellerman Sam, this is a washed wind cheese, using cider for two of the rind washes. The cheese has a silky, velvet texture and a rich umami taste. Pair with our Durslade Farm cider or our Maid of Bruton Chardonnay to maximise on flavour.

Ashcombe

A washed-rind, semi-hard cheese that features a beautiful line of wood ash running through the centre. It is rich with melted butter and hazelnut flavours—pair it with a light red wine or port for a delicious end to any meal.
