Lamb Mock Duck

Mock Duck, unlike its name suggests, is a boned and rolled lamb shoulder with the shank kept on to deliver the illusion of a duck's bill. This roast is not only a bit of fun and a great centrepiece for a family Sunday lunch, it is also easy to carve thanks to being boneless. The shoulder is less lean than the leg but that gives it more depth of flavour. Slow cook in the oven and the meat will melt in your mouth.

From our vineyard
Our Maid of Bruton wines are produced locally from grapes grown on our vineyards in Bruton. We grow a mix of grapes on the estate’s 8,000 vines, including Chardonnay, Bacchus, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, which are used to produce our Sparkling Rosé, Chardonnay, Bacchus and still Rosé wines.
